Annual Report

ISEAL Alliance in 2010
This is our first annual report, highlighting ISEAL's work on the groundbreaking Impacts Code in 2010. You can download a PDF or read the report online.
Highlights
Critical milesontes for the ISEAL Alliance in 2010 include:
- A two year process of extensive stakeholder consultation culminated in the approval of the ISEAL Impacts Code, which aims to help answer the essential question of whether standards systems are delivering on their sustainability impacts.
- ISEAL’s learning community expanded considerably. In addition to the 20 members of ISEAL at the end of 2010, 24 affiliates are now actively engaged in the community, including ten emerging standards systems, eight capacity building organisations, and five research and policy organisations.
- Development of the Scaling Up Strategy saw ISEAL conducting interviews and focus groups across the globe to identify the key trends affecting sustainability standards and the opportunities and barriers to scaling up.
