The ISEAL Alliance is a member-based association. ISEAL Members are leading international standard-setting and accreditation organisations that meet or are close to meeting ISEAL Codes of Good Practice for social and environmental standards systems. We work with our members to strengthen their effectiveness and collective capacity to scale up their positive impacts.
Other interested organisations and individuals can join the ISEAL Alliance as Affiliates.
Members and community participants have access to its community of standards systems practitioners. This includes the participation in workshops and joint research projects, access to documents, capacity building tools and technical assistance.
In addition, ISEAL Members engage in strategic discussions about the future of the voluntary standards movement and in joint activities to scale up their social and environmental impacts. Full members also play a formal role in governing ISEAL
To become a Full member of the ISEAL Alliance, members have to demonstrate full compliance with ISEAL Codes of Good Practice and other applicable ISO Guides (e.g. ISO17011 for Accreditation Bodies).
Organisations interested in membership will first apply for Associate Membership. Associate members are required to successfully complete a pre-assessment. They then make a commitment to come into compliance with relevant Codes within one year of membership approval.
