Call for applicants: join our Technical Committee

Our Technical Committee provides technical oversight to the development and maintenance of our credibility tools, in particular our Credibility Principles and Codes of Good Practice. They represent a balance of stakeholder perspectives and provide strategic and technical insight to the ISEAL Secretariat and Board. We are now seeking applicants representing businesses, producers, governments, or NGOs to join the Committee.

The Committee brings together representatives from both ISEAL Community Members and external stakeholders who have a strong overall understanding of sustainability standards and similar systems. It is composed of up to nine individuals, of which one third are staff at an ISEAL Community Member organisation. Two-thirds are independent experts, experts from non-Community Member sustainability initiatives, and experts from a range of stakeholder groups that engage with sustainability systems (e.g., businesses, producers, governments, NGOs).

The Committee is currently recruiting a new member representing stakeholders (i.e., businesses, producers, governments, or NGOs). We are seeking qualified individuals who support ISEAL’s mission and values, have experience with ISEAL’s credibility tools, and who will contribute to the committee’s overall representativeness of stakeholders globally. In order to ensure balanced stakeholder representation and geographic diversity, we are particularly interested in applicants operating in the Global South or emerging economies.

More information on the role and responsibilities of the Committee can be found in the Terms of Reference. Please note that participation in the Committee is voluntary and unpaid.

In order to be considered, please submit your CV and completed application form by 25 June 2023. Please note that this deadline has been extended from 30 April.

Nominations and any questions about the Technical Committee should be sent to eleanor@isealalliance.org.
