This infographic illustrates how certified commodities have lower external costs benefiting farmers, the environment and society.

The data compares certified vs non-certified cocoa from the Ivory Coast, coffee from Vietnam, and cotton from India. The infographic reveals how the external costs of cultivation were found to be significantly lower for the certified commodities in these sectors than non-certified commodities. And, across these sectors, the profitability of certified farms is found to be significantly higher than non-certified.
