The topic of living income has become a focal issue to address when discussing the topic of sustainability. Despite the momentum and growing commitment, there are numerous challenges to address for successful implementation of living income programs. The 2020 Living Income Community of Practice workshop will tackle these challenges through experiences from sectors such as cocoa, tea, coffee, cotton and more.
The workshop open to all entities and commodities committed to learning on the topic and improving their own efforts towards delivering a decent standard of living. While each commodity has its own characteristics that affect the way the issue of Living Income is framed, this workshop will focus on the common building blocks such as using living income benchmarks, approaches to measuring incomes and evaluating effectiveness of strategies. Those tasked with developing, implementing or evaluating a farmer income strategy should consider attending. Limited farmer leader scholarships are available.
